It has been a pleasure working at Dakota. It is a company that truly takes care of its people and supports their professional growth. I have learned so much during my time here. When I first started, the processes were somewhat chaotic, but thanks to the guidance and support from the team, we were able to organize and improve many of them in a timely manner. There are still areas we can continue to improve, particularly communication regarding what is happening across the regions. As an AP team member, having that information is important, and when it doesn’t reach me, it can sometimes slow down the process. That said, I have gained valuable experience, and I truly feel that my work is recognized and appreciated. I can see the trust the company places in me, and Dakota’s core values have become values that I personally share as well. I am grateful to be part of this team, to continue learning every day, and to grow within a company that is always striving to improve and help its people succeed.

I’ve been able to spend some time around job sites and take part in project walkdowns, which helped me better understand how matting actually works in the field and how that ties into planning, logistics, and day-to-day operations. When challenges come up or conditions change, the focus is on finding solutions and keeping work moving, which makes collaboration easier and reinforces accountability across teams. Overall, my experience has been engaging and challenging in a good way. Dakota has grown so much from day one of its existence. I have been apart of the experience since the beginning.
